I have been reading all the posts on how the pools are packed and the only time to swim is when you first board, how full is the ship in Sept. as far as pools are concerned? We're going Sept. 17th, 2005... anyone have experience around this time of year?

I have 4 kids, DD 13, DD 11, DS 6 & DS 3 and I know they all want to swim.

On our 3 cruises the pools are less crowded than the chairs around them. The polls are more of a slpash around and get wet then a swim pool. The adult pool is always empty.

We have only sailed in September. The pools can get crowded, but we have found some times that aren't too bad (or favorite is right after we board).

There will still be a LOT of kids in the club and lab. When we went, we thought it wouldn't be too crowded since kids were in school (we homeschool); well that wasn't the case. There are still lots of kids. I am sure there are probably more in the summer months, but I can't imagine too many more kids fitting into those kids areas.

If the only time to swim is when you first board, the pools wouldn't be packed.

We found empty pools (and in some cases, I mean empty - we were the only people in the pool) first thing in the morning and all day during port days. I'd guess that the pools aren't too busy over the dinner hour (when people are eating or at shows). The busiest pool we actually spent time in was between 1:30 and 3:00 on the day we boarded.

The pools started to get busy about 11am on sea day and stayed busy all day.

This was last Feb.
