Just curious if anyone knows if there is a place on Disney's website where you can look up the cruise you are booked on and see how full it already is? :confused3 And also, what rooms are already booked?

Thanks! :wave2:

i don't really think there's a website of that information, except for this one up at the top, but you can use the online booking thing on disney's website to find which rooms are still open.

I think that would be hard to find out. Only because TA buy blocks of rooms, so all DCL knows is that those rooms may be filled. No guarentee, but most ships are full.

If you are worried about the ship being crowded if it if "full", don't be too concerned. I've been on one "full" cruise and one nearly full and on both occasions, my DH (who hates crowds) commented on how easy it was to move around and not feel packed. (Except for waiting in line for Christmas-themed pictures on formal night, but that would be expected!)

I guess I am just a curious sort. On some travel websites when you sign up for your airfare, you can pick your seats yourself and it gives you a good idea of what seats are already taken. It would be a nice feature to have on the Disney website to see exactly what cabins are taken. And I also thought it might help to see what the chances are of getting an upgrade. :rolleyes1 :scratchin :ssst:

I know others will post here about upgrades are not given out in any set way but being the researcher that I am, it would be nice to see the odds! :goodvibes

I believe expedia does that for cruises...when you pick your cruise and category, it will show you what room #s are available for booking.

But again, this will not show you rooms blocked by other TAs that may not be booked yet (just held)

The problem is (as stated above) that some large travel agents "hold" large groups of cabins which they can then resell. If they aren't sold, they at some point revert to Disney's inventory.

However, you can get an idea by going to DCL's web site to see what categories are remaining on your cruise or by going to Orbitz.com where you can select a category 11 or 12. It will show you cabins available in those categories, as well as allowing you to continue to bump up the categories. It gives you 6 cabin options in each category where it has them available. This doesn't give you any idea what is really open as DCL holds a certain number of cabins, handicapped cabins don't show up on the on-line inventory, nor do cabins being "held" by travel agents or on 48 hour holds for customers....but it does give you some idea as to whether the ship is "full" or not. Remember that even a "full" ship will have a few open cabins.

I've sailed on the Magic several times when it was technically full, and there is always plenty of space to get around and to do/schedule what you want.

I agree with the others about sailing on full cruises. I have done so several times on DCL and I must say it really does not feel "full" on board. Other than the dining rooms appearing to be full of diners, I did not see any other areas indicating a full ship.
