how full is full in DLR ?

How many people can they stuff in the park.

All I know is I have been 2 times once in aug and then dec and it was busy both times aug being worse.

Im thinking of going again in last of april or may for some reason I do not think they have an offpeak time you just go and deal with it.

They can get something like 80,000 people into DLR before they close the gates due to fire marshall requirements. That happens rarely - special events, NYE, etc.

Typical summer crowds will peak at 50,000-60,000. Summer weekdays are 40,000-50,000.

I still cant get over that a park can hold that many people. It still boggles my mind, but it shows you how loved DL is

We were just there at Christmas and they closed the gates several times during the week, same as 2006 at Christmas. It reaches capacity during Christmas week EVERY year and on Christmas Day definitely. NYE, if you do not get in early, you are SOL.

Off season is after the first of the year and before Spring Break and again, it is quieter right after Labor Day until the Halloween stuff comes in. We are going back in a month at the end of January and it is very quiet then. We love it around that time.

And when they reach capacity, the gates will close and NO one will get in for any reason. Keep that in mind if you go during the Christmas holidays, you will need to be in the Park early if you want to get in. We always leave before NYE, I have no interest in that big of a crowd. It is insane!

FWIW, I don't think you'll have horrible crowds during the last part of April, especially if you can go mid-week.
