How frustrating !!!!

I understand that when you go off-season there are rehabs and closures scheduled at that time. But look at what DL has closed while I am there:

Matterhorn
Haunted Mansion (whine, whine, whine)
Davy Crockett Canoes
King Arthur Carrousel
Mark Twain Riverboat
Sailing Ship Columbia

It's not that I care about all of those, it's the crowds that will now not be so easily dispersed. Oh well, I'll get over it (except for the Haunted Mansion closure.) Just wanted to vent.

That's nothing...should have been there last year when half of Fantasyland was closed at any given time.

The Rivers of America is going to be drained for some much needed rehab, so that means that everything that floats has to go down (it's a rare occaision when the Columbia carries paid guests). The Haunted Mansion is getting undressed from it's Holiday get up and the Matterhorn is been undergoing extensive structural rehab.

All things considered, that's a pretty light rehab schedule for this time of year.

The carrousel has been down for about a year or so. It was only supposed to go down for routine maintenance, but they found the condition so bad, it basically had to be completely re-built. The roof was riddled with wood rot.

There actually have been more rehabs than normal lately. The plus side is that for whatever reason, maintenance has become a higher priority than it was for the last few years. Hopefully its a trend that continues. Once they are caught up, there won't be a need for so many extended rehabs.

I was planning to go in December but changed my plans to go to WDW instead when I heard Fantasmic and Matterhorn would be shut down. I feel your pain!
