We have purchased a BWV resale through the timeshare store, and Disney passed on its ROFR(!).

We've also signed the documents and sent the check, which arrived at their closing agency yesterday.

So . . . how soon will the transaction close? Can anyone give me a feel for the likely wait? I understand once it closes we can make our first reservation in about 5 days, but I'm clueless about the time we'll wait for notification of final close.

Thanks

Wow, welcome home. We're just over the bridge in Newton Lower Falls and own at BWV also, so neighbors twice. I am also a fan of Italian soccer, so saw the handle and knew a kindred spirit (sadly I get the impression that they don't have Serie A games playing on screens at the ESPN club on the BW, but I guess we can get those elsewhere, or heaven forbid do without soccer for a spell  ).

I don't know how soon the closing will occur, so I am useless on that count (we bought direct), but I believe you should be in the MS computer by now and can likely make reservations.

Enjoy!

You're comin' down the home stretch.

If your seller was as prompt as you, the closing agent probably "closed" the sale today. (They will close 1-2 days after both the buyer and seller return the completed materials.)

I suggest that you start calling DVC on Tuesday to see if they have you "in the system." Unless the seller is dragging their feet on returning the signed deed, you'll be able to make your first reservations by the end of next week.

Wow and hello pumpkinboy!

This is very wierd:

1. You live in Newton Lower Falls, probably 2 miles from our house,

2. You own at BWV, just like we will in a few more days, and

3. You're the first poster I've ever seen recognize Calcio as Italian for the beautiful game.

5 years ago I was fortunate enough to travel to Milan with my College's men's soccer team. We saw AC play Inter on Saturday eve in the Derby, then on Wednesday eve we saw Inter play Man U in a UEFA Cup game. Seeing the play and passion in person were revelations for me. Combine the soccer with everything else wonderful about Italy and I was sold.

I have seen a few premiership matches at ESPN around lunch time in January. I think they have (or did have) Fox Sports World there sometimes, so you can catch a quality match now and then. I also finally broke down and bought season seats for the Revs, in the President's Club, front row field seats about 10 meters from mid field. I can hardly wait. It's great to hear from another fan of the game.

Anyway, thanks to you, and many thanks to JeffPort. We purchased the BWV so we could have a 1 BR every January for the Marathon, so I'm very anxious to book this coming January. I'll call next week to see if we can book the villa and plan for a warm and wonderful January.

Congratulations and Welcome Home! :wave2:

Yippee more MA people!!
