How fast does Starring Rolls run out of cupcakes?

On our December trip, m mom and I want to split the monstrosity that is the Butterfinger cupcake at Starring Rolls. I know the restaurant closes early, or we would plan on dining there for dinner. We have a 1:30 ADR at the Brown Derby, and probably won't be done eating until at least 2:30. I've heard Starring Rolls runs out of the most famous baked goods, including the Butteringer cupcake. Should it be safe at 2:30 on a low-crowds day in December, or should we grab one to-go before our lunch ADR?

I don't want to get there and learn that these cupcakes go as fast as TSM fastpasses, lol.

Since they are right next door to each other, shy not get the cupcake before entering Brown Derby and not eating it until later? They could well be gone before 2:30. You do realize they make fewer on days they expect to be slower I hope.

IN Feb of this year we got ours at 12pm and there werre 3 left of the butterfinger. It was a slow time of year as well.

Of course it is hard to predict, but if it is something you really want...do it as early as you can, don't chance it.

But if you are able to carry a Butterfinger cupcake around and NOT imediately eat it .......... you're a better person than I am :rotfl:

I wouldn't chance it. We were there in March & got the last Butterfinger cupcake around 2pm. WORD OF WARNING - they are so humongous that their take out containers do not hold the cupcakes. It's wayyyyy too messy to just take out in a bag, so you will have to bring some kind of container to put it in if you're not eating it right away. I took mine back to the resort & it was a mess! Maybe a large fountain beverage cup or something like that to drop it into, then you could peel away the cup when you're ready to eat it. They may be sold refridgerated as well due to diary ingredients in the frosting - so I wouldn't let it sit out too long.

If you see someone carrying Tupperware into DHS it's probably me, going to stock up on cupcakes to take back to the resort! :rotfl2:

Don't forget that the baking staff & management also know that it's a slow time. While there may be fewer guests, they may also bake fewer cupcakes.
