How fast do I need to get to M. St. Bakery?

Everybody is talking about how crowded this place is for breakfast, so I guess we will be part of the crowd, but do I have to worry about them selling out?? I want to get the ham/cheese croissant and famous cinnamon roll for a CS breakfast, but do they sell out of these items quickly, since its so popular, or do I not have to worry about that? How crazy is it in there in the morning? Any strategies for how to handle the visit there? Thanks.

It gets pretty crowded in there but it's not very big either so I think it makes it seem worse than it is. I think if you there within the first hour or two of opening you'll have no worries. I don't think they sell out immediately.

DH and I were there at 11:30 one morning and had both the ham and cheese croissant and the cinnamon roll. The had a few trays of them and were still bringing out more. This was last March.

I am curious about this myself. In all of the years that I have been going to Disney, I have never eaten at the Main Street Bakery. So for our trip in December we don't have breakfast planned for one early EMH, so I already told my DH that we are going to get breakfast there. Also, how big are the cinnamon rolls???? My girls love them, but are they so big that they would have to share one or could they each have their own. Sorry for the weird questions.

The rolls are huge and I would say they could share one. You could also order them each their own and ask for a box to pack up what they don't eat and they can snack on them later. They won't be as good as they were when they were warm but still very tasty!

Hey neighbor to the south :)
We went there last year the week before Christmas. My DD was 10 and ordered one. I thought there was no way she was going to finish it by herself, but she said it was too good and finished the whole thing  It was HUGE! It covered the whole plate (It was one of the small plates). Its about 3 inches tall if I remember correctly. We were there around noon and there were plenty cinnamon rolls there. My DD is already planning on using her snack credits for cinnamon rolls this December :rotfl2:

We were there last week and got a cinnamon roll at 9:30pm on our way out of the park and it was still hot and fresh (no lines at this hour). We also went another morning around 10:30 (the line was out the door, but it moved pretty fast so don't be frightened away) and got a cinnamon roll and ice cream cookie sandwich(breakfast of champions) with snack credits. I saw plenty of the croissant sandwiches there as well (didn't notice at night, but definitely in the morning).

I did take note of a sign on the counter that said that for a quick service you could get two drinks and one pastry:scared1:, but had read on here that you could get a drink, sandwich, and pastry. I didn't ask as I wasn't getting that anyway, and it was pretty busy.

We go to Main Street bakery for breakfast at least once a trip. We usually get there about 10-11ish and there's always a line out the door. The line moves quickly (there's usually 5-6 people helping behind the counter). I've never seen them run out of anything (although I'm sure it does happen).

The cinnamon rolls are HUGE! No one makes them like they do at the Main St. bakery. They have this wonderful gooey caramel icing on top :lovestruc. I usually split one with my Mom (and get a few to go to take back to the room). They started carrying a banana bread pudding that looked really good when I was there in August.

My biggest tip would be to NOT eat inside the little eating area inside the bakery. A lot of people seem to think this is the only place to eat and I find it noisy and crowded (especially in the morning). Take your stuff to the area right in front of the Plaza restaurant. There's tons of yellow umbrella tables and chairs there and it's so peaceful (not to mention the great view of the castle).

Thanks for asking OP! This is great information! For the first time we are going with two kids old enough for the meal plan and also staying longer than before, so we can be a little more flexible with our credits. We have a villa, so we'll be doing breakfast in the room most days, but this thread has convinced me have to make a trip to MSB for a special breakfast treat!

We did this for breakfast on the last morning of our trip this year. We got there within about 30 minutes of park opening and the line ended just inside the door. The staff there keeps things moving very efficiently so the line moved right along. When it was my turn I thought they'd run out of cinnamon rolls :scared1: but in reality they were just bringing out a new pan fresh from the oven :woohoo:.

:rotfl2:I've thought this before too! Each pan only holds about 10 (or less) cinnamon rolls so it's a little unnerving when the person in front of you orders what you think might be the last one! I wonder how many trays they have of food in the back :scratchin because they certainly don't keep much in the front.

One thing that drives me crazy about Main St. Bakery (and just about every bakery that is super busy) is they ask you what you want before you get a chance to get in front of the cases (and "assorted pastries" doesn't tell you much on the menu). Which isn't really that big of a deal 'cause I already knew I wanted cinammon rolls but I didn't know about the banana bread pudding until I was leaving the line to go pay and all of the CM's were helping the people 5 people behind me and I didn't want to interrupt progress :)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: The lady in front of me in line seriously looked like she was gonna cry when she saw the big empty space where the cinnamon roll pan was supposed to be:lmao:.

LittleStinkerbelle-a little off subject, but I will also be celebrating my 10th anniversary at WDW in 2010

We were there last week. We got to MK for rope drop, went and did rides until about 10-10:30, then headed for Main Street Bakery. There was no line at all and it was delish! Maybe it depends on what time of year you go. We even got a table.

We've never had a problem getting cinnamon rolls. However, after hearing everyone rave about the French Toast Loaf, we had our hearts set on one on our last trip. It was sold out everytime we went! So if you want a french toast loaf, I would get there as early as I could!

Unfortunately, French Toast Loaf is no more :(. R.I.P. French Toast Loaf in all of your yummy goodness :(

For the love of all that is good...can someone please show me a picture of these cinnamon rolls??? :lmao: :lovestruc I've been in the main street bakery once or twice and really don't remember what I got. I don't even remember seeing the cinnamon rolls!

THIS is all that is good and holy :lovestruc

(This is not my pic. I got this from Pirate Me's TR)

Honestly, how do these compare to Cinnabon? About the same? I don't do sweets for breakfast, but sometimes DH likes to get something sooooper sweet.
