How fast can you type?? ((Inspired by Honeywolfe))

about this fast ;)

44 with 97% accuracy.

Depending on what I'm typing, anywhere between 80 and 100 words per minute. If it's text that I'm familiar with, or if I'm typing my own thoughts, I can type that a lot faster than if I'm copying unfamiliar text on a typing-test type situation.

Boy I did like 69 words and 91 % accuracy. and I use to be an administrative assistant. I do type pretty fast when I am not under pressure. I type alot, even the n and m on the keyboard is getting worn out.

About 40 wpm. Shut-up! I hear you laughing.

We were required to take typing in high school. I only passed by cheating. How do you cheat in typing, you ask? Easy. We spent the class time practicing on the test we would be taking at the end of each class. I took my time typing a perfect paper, then I'd remove that paper and stick it in my desk. At the end of class, we'd take the test and I'd type away making many errors. Then when we would pass in our test, I'd just pull out the perfect one I had in my desk.

Oh Phamton, you dirty-dog-you! How cleaver!
Well, I too had typing in HS and was well over 60 WPM, but now am only at 55. My DD17 and I had a contest last year as she types with only two fingers and I could not believe she could type faster than her old mum with two fingers. Well, we took a typing test off the internet and low and behold she beat me. Her speed was much higher, but so were her mistakes. I think that is why learning to type PROPERLY makes you faster in the long run. Anyway, my mom made her living typing in the 60's and 70's and is well over 100 WPM. She now types transcripts from a tape recorder for an attorney. She has worked for the man for 15 years now. I admire her for it.

Not very fast at all. I'm really bad compared to all you folks, I think on a good day I type about 30 wpm. I used to type about 60 wpm in hs but my jobs since then have never really required that much speed in my typing so I've slowed way, way down. But I can 10 key pretty fast. I got a job one time that required that ability and I didn't mention I didn't even know what 10 keying was, lol, so they hired me. I learned pretty quicky (first time I've ever learned a skill quickly!) and they never found out I hadn't known how when I started.

Same here!

I got 64 WPM on the test, but I was going a lot slower than I do if I'm just typing my own thoughts.
