How fast can I use vacation account savings ?

I have about a dozen Disney gift cards that I want to use to put a deposit on our next trip. If I load them into the vacation account how long until I can apply that money to my trip ? I dont really want to call and read off 12 gift cards so I thought this may be the easiest way .

Right away. As soon as you add it to the DVA it is available to spend.

I believe DVA changed the terms recently and you must wait 7 days before you spend the money. It should be pretty clear in the FAQ on the website.

I just did this yesterday. I signed up for the account, added 11 x $50 gift cards, and turned around and bought 2 x 3day Disneyland hoppers. I did see the note about funds being held for 7 days, but I decided to try it. I wouldn't have lost anything if it wasn't immediately available, I'd just have waited a week.

I haven't had to wait when adding gift cards to use the balance to pay for something immediately. I wonder if it is different than if you add money through your credit card or bank account?

I also just did it this past weekend and no waiting. I added Disney GC's and turned around and bought party tix. I wonder if there is a waiting period if you use a debit card to fund the account?
