How far to pool from THV?

SSR is our home resort, and I'm thinking of an upcoming trip to the THV. Is it a walk or a ride to the nearest pool from the villas? How long will it take?

Thanks.

THV has it's own pool. Grandstand Pool is about a 5 to 10 min walk. Main pool a few minutes longer.

The THV pool is pretty small but it doesn't need to be any bigger as nobody uses it.

We were in villa 7004, almost as far from SSR as we could get and it was a 10 minute walk, at most, to the Grandstand section.

You could take a bus from THV to the Springs section at SSR where the main pool is. The bus only runs every 20 minutes and the bus ride itself is as long as the walk. We tested it; I rode the bus and my husband walked. We arrived at the Springs at almost exactly the same time.

Just wondering if there is any parking at the THV pool, and for that matter is there enough parking at the villa's for two larger cars? We have two families staying in one villa, and we each have a car......

There is only one parking space per villa. I did not see any parking spaces at the pool. There is a one way loop that runs through the villa area and it's fairly narrow with designated parking, one spot per villa.

I don't know if there are any "extra" spots that they can allocate if there are two cars. All spots were full so I couldn't tell.

OK thanks, I was really hoping there was somewhere close to keep the extra vehicle. The cons are really starting to pile up against our stay in the THV's.

Then I won't tell you how disappointed we were with our stay there. A one time novelty stay but we won't stay in the treehouses again.

My understanding is that a second car is to be parked at the Saratoga Springs main parking areas- near the regular buildings. You can only have 1 car at the treehouse.

Could you tell me what you're biggest disapointments in the THV was? Maybe there is something that I am overlooking!

don't be too discouraged...we loved THV's:thumbsup2 We went in January and it was cold..so the pool wasn't a big deal. Our TH was right next to the boat dock. We had 2 cars and there was plenty of parking for both. We probably won't stay there again..only because of the points amounts. But for our family it was great time..we had 2 families and a grandmom. The place was really beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing...my only negative is that it is remote and you don' t get the warm "disney" feel..its kind of like staying offsite with all of the onsite perks...would I stay there again..in a heartbeat..if I had the points to spare.;)

We really enjoyed our stay - but at the time we drove a full size cargo van. the parking spots made us nervous. There was one near our treehouse that we tried to keep because it was a little deeper than the others.

As for parking at the pool - we always walked, but I do remember one family loading up in their van to leave as we were getting there. I don't recall if they were parked there or if someone just swung by to pick up the swimmers.

1. Mosquitos. We got chewed up just walking from the parking to/from our villa. We gave up the idea of using our patio area. We stayed there last week (first week of May). We did not encounter mosquitos anywhere else on property, just at the THV.

2. Living space is very small. The coffee table has to be pushed up against the sofa to have walking room in/out of the master bedroom. You sit on the sofa and can practically touch the TV in front of you. We are people who spend a lot of time at our villa and the layout was just not set up for that.

3. Remoteness. You have to drive everywhere. I would definitely not stay here without a car.
