My suitcases are barely unpacked that I am already thinking of our return visit to WDW..... Crazy huh?

Upgraded my passes before leaving so that is all taken care of. But I would love to go back, possibly Dec2006 for MVMCP and Expedition Everest.

I want to book my room reservation asap, DH thinks I am nuts. But I need motivation to start saving....Just getting that written confirmation will motivate me, I know it. I can always change dates later on if something changes.

What do you think???? Do I need therapy?

I want a ticker NOW!

If you're going to stay at a Disney resort, you have to be within 500 days of your check in date before they'll let you book.

If you're within that timeframe (and I think you are - I think December '06 is fewer than 500 days away), go ahead and book. I booked my honeymoon trip at exactly a year out. I also booked out September trip this past December/January. :)

Plan my trips at least one year in advance. We are now planning summer 2006 trip and haven't done our Decemeber 2005 trip yet and before summer 2006 trip will be planning Decemeber 2006 trip.So join the the Disney nuts crowds and be happy. :wave2: :wizard: :goodvibes

We are not staying on the property but next month I am booking our condo. He knows I don't have the down payment right now so we are booking it at the beginning of next month. Everything else, I will do closer to the time we go.

I would book as far out as possible. It allows you time to pay down your balance. This for me works great because I can send in a little at a time and fit it in to our regular budget vs. Taking it out of savings at one time. You can always adjust your schedule as your final pay date comes closer. I think it also helps build the excitement too!

We've booked out April vacation already. NOw checking airfare.

The furthest out we have ever booked is 4 months for the second half of our honeymoon, the closest we have ever booked is 3 days in advance.

This time we booked 2 months in advance and I can honestly say we never had a problem getting air or dining....

But our favorite times to go are early=mid May, September and November B4 thanksgiving so we go when most people don't ;)

You are not crazy!! DH and I were planning our May 2006 trip on the plane home from our June 2005 trip. I have our split stay booked, along with one of our tours. I have a spreadsheet of things we really want to try this trip. I had my ticker up two days after I came back to the DIS.

Welcome to the insanity!!!

I have already booked our package for May 2006, AND bought the plane tickets! Hows that for crazy!?! :teeth:

I book as far out as I know my dates - usually about 9 months. I use the time to save & pay as much as I can ahead of time. I see nothing crazy about booking a year in advance or having another trip booked before the first one is completed. I had 3 trips booked at a time this year.

We belong to DVC and are allowed to make reservations at our home resort eleven months out.

But it is easy for us to book as we go the same three times every year.

Last week in April, first two weeks in September (YEAH, we leave in 25 days :wizard: :wizard: ) and the week after Thanksgiving.

There is nothing wrong with planning ahead.

We always have a countdown calendar sitting on the kitchen table. Every morning I ask my DH, how many more days? Even though I know the answer before I ask :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'll be purchasing our ASMo rooms by Thanksgiving (for June) and then the airfare as soon as the flying dates come up on the website. Limo is last...usually 3 months prior. All dining ressies are made on the first day possible. I'm usually totally done with all plans 2 months in advance so we can enjoy the anticipation. And the bills are spread out so as not to hurt too much :flower: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

We booked our upcoming Feb trip the day that the CAA/AAA rates came out. So about 6 months out I guess, gives us time to save so that we are not worring about paying for it all at once. For us now its Passports to get across the border, and flights..

I usually have an idea in my head of when I want to go and then actually make the reservations about 6 months in advance.

But, today I booked a quick trip for October 2005- less than 3 months away :teeth: :flower:

I don't think we have booked sooner than 2 months from departure date for any of our trips. We always talk about going but we are an indecisive bunch and it takes time to nail down an exact date! LOL

As a matter of fact, this past trip was booked 1 1/2 WEEKS before we were to leave (tomorrow!). LOL The only reason was because my DD hurt her foot and I needed to get her last round of xrays done before we finalized it. We knew where we were going, when we were going and what we were going to do for 3 months but we needed to get DD squared away first.

This past trip for Dec 26-Jan 4 was booked October 1 (just about 15 months in advance)

In the past I have planned short trips only a few months in advance (4-6 months) but since it's been a long time since my last trip and it's my first real vacation with my boyfriend of 4 years, I'm trying to do it up big so I wanted time to plan it with him. It's become an evening activity of sorts.

We got a free companion airfare ticket from our Disney Visa that needs to be used in the next year, so we are now considering a short trip in August 2006.

I'm always thinking about my future trips even before my next trip.

The furthest out would be booking the 2004 cruise 2 years out but I even knew about it 3 years out.

I already have my 2006 and 2007 dates set! I'll book them as soon as I can (DVC and DCL).

I like the planning and I like knowing about the future trips so I can plan my APs accordingly and tell school early too AND to save up for them!
