How far out do the AP rates run?

We are going in October. If I was to get an ap ticket, when would I see if there was a room discount? Typically, have there been room discounts in the past in October? TIA

Last year AP discounts for 9/30 - 12/24 were announced on 8/28
Discounts were 20% - 35% off, depending on level of Resort, discounts have been even more than that in the past, we have had AP discounts in October for many years

I was wondering this as well as we are leaning toward APs for our December trip .
