We'll be on the Western cruise beginning 11/19/05 :earboy2: :boat:

I'm trying to do as much research as possible NOW, so I can relax & enjoy as the trip grows closer.

Do any of you know how far out in advance I can contact Cpt Marvin & reserve? Should I reserve directly through him or Disney?

Thanks!!

I don't know how direct bookings are handled, but you need to have your cruise paid in full in order to book excursions with Disney.

Re reservd ours about 6 months out. Google their website, call them and see.

You cannot reserve him through Disney--they use another company. I must say, there were only about 20 people on our boat, and all the other boats we saw from other companies were crammed with people.

We had a wonderful time with Capt Marvins and would gladly book with them again. :fish:

Go to cruisecritic.com and you will find just about any answer you want about any of the ports. We went to Stingray City with a different group from RCC. Snorkel/stingray city it was great!!! Highly reccomend it. They videotaped the trip and put it on DVD or VHS for you. :boat:

do they charge your credit card when you make the booking?
TIA:)

Yes, we had to pay for the tour upfront. We did it online through our cruiseship.

Although they took our credit card number when booking online, they did not charge my card. I called to inquire and she stated that they will only charge the card if you don't show without proper cancellation, and they prefer to have you pay with travelers cheques or cash upon arrival. Unfortunately, we never made it to Grand Cayman due to the hurricanes. But we will get the chance to try them out again in 06!

We went on the 3 stop tour two years ago and it was fantastic!!! They were really good with our kids. Our youngest decided not to go in the water at all (he was 4) he stayed on the boat and they were really nice to him, he had no complaints at all!!!

They were very knowledgeable and my older son (9) still talks about everything he saw. They had pointed out things to us and gave us a lot of background information.

You do have to book it on your own. It was cheaper than any of Disney's tours.

Enjoy it!!!!
