I have about a ten hour drive to get to WDW and dont think twice about doing it. 10 hours is quite a long drive to go. We never do rest the day we get there we are always to excited to get to the parks and enjoy our selves.

About 20 hours straight through. Hopefully we can make it to SC for the stopover. It's our first big road trip:earsboy: We're definitely excited too but I don't think we can make it all in one shot:crazy:

20 hours is a long time to travel. I hope yall have a safe and fun trip. Enjoy it for me to because I have to wait a while before i go back.

About 15 mins. I found I was visiting so much it was cheaper to move here. :) So glad that I did. I love it here.

2 hr drive then 2 hr flight then hour wait then 9 hour flight 2 hour wait then 2 hour flight an we arrive at orlando airport for another drive

It's about 1500 miles. Every time we think we're going to bite the bullet and drive, we decide it's easier to fly. We haven't driven it yet.

The drive time is about 23 hours, 1445 miles. We've done this 6 times and we are doing it again in Jan '05 and then again in Sept '05. DH does most of the driving. We do stop on NC on the way down and VA on the way home for an overnight. We've done the straight thru drive twice on the drive down, found it was not worth it on the 2nd one. We always stop now. It's safer and we arrive better rested.

We've really grown to enjoy the drive (used to HATE it, but DH hates to fly). We use it as true quality family time now. BTW, our kids are now 10 and 14. We've been doing this since they were 7 and 10. DS brings his gameboy and always 1 or 2 new games. DD reads and draws and, now, plays her gameboy a little bit.

I am the navigator, so, basically, when we are not in NYC or DC...I snooze or read.

We also play road trip games and goof off, except DH, of course... We've made up some pretty crazy songs over the years and laugh so hard!

Ours takes about 18 hours from Illinois. I hate to fly too, so we drive. The drive really isnt too bad until we hit Georgia. We leave early in the morning, stay in southern Georgia for the night, and then get up early, refreshed from a few hours of sleep, and arrive before noon the next day. The entire family is excited and not too wiped out from driving straight through and ready to go.

6 hours! People still can't figure out why we go so much!

:teeth:

It's just a 2 hour flight from Indianapolis the way I look at it.::yes:: :wave2:

about a 10 min drive hehehe. Ok so I am rubbing it in, sorry.

I don't go in June, July or August, and rarely during spring break.

Outside of those dates esp from Sept thru May I can be at one of the parks several times a week. great escape after work during week, just to reduce work stress.

weekends are a must for sure sept thru may.

and being so close if i get there and see just too crowded to enjoy, then turn around, come home or go try one of the other theme parks in the area.

i respect all those that come so far to enjoy the Disney Magic. and glad you come. please continue coming more and more. tourism is our friend down here <G>

Which driving could be about 17-18 hrs...we have only driven once....

So, it is actually only a 45 min drive to the airport now with about a 2 hr flight....and I leave in about 13 days....YIPPEEEE!!!

It's about a 32 hour drive...

We don't drive straight through...LOL

It's about 1500 miles...:earseek:

It's around 1150 miles...about 20 hours. We stop overnight in Tennesse, but this year I'm planning on stopping in Georgia. I found all the McDonald Playlands off the Interstate on our way there so the kids will get to run around alot during our trip there and back. :)

:D It is 1500 miles (23Hrs) with one stop over. I love the drive. Estimate driven 40+ times including as kid with parents. It gets in your blood. Hense my dis name. Have movies of 4th birthday in Florida. Had many more in Florida since. (Feb)

If I drove, which will never happen, it would take 2 days....22 solid hours of driving. Unless people were sleeping in the vehicle and swapping off, we would have to stop for rest....hence, needing two days.

Wow - what an exhausting drive. I would be so cranky when I got there.

8hrs, 30 minutes depending on who is in the car with us....when my mom and MIL went with us it seemed like 20 hours!! When best friend and I go it seems like 30 minutes!! :teeth: :teeth:

It is about 1200 miles for us. We drive often, flying when the rates are really good from San Antonio. When we drive, we usually leave about 5:30p or 6pm to make it through Houston (3hrs away) in less congested traffic. Drive most of the night and stop for a nap in a nice rest area, then drive on through.

Coming home we stop at a hotel anywhere from Gulfport, Mississippi to Baton Rouge, Louisiana...depending on road conditions and how tired we are.

It takes us 24 hours straight through. We like to go 10:00am-10:00am. Then when we arrive we relax by the pool, wash up, unpack, and usually spend our first night at the Boardwalk.

It's about 1400 miles from Carver, MA and usually takes 23 hours straight thru with the normal stops and a sit down breakfast stop somewhere in the South of the Border area.

How do you 1500 milers do it in 23 Hours?

From my Deltona house, it's about a 50 minute ride.
