How far is Vero Beach from WDW? Or other close beach?

Hi all, we are coming from the beautiful Rocky Mountain state of Colorado to WDW in Oct. We are considering staying a day or 2 at a beach side resort. Couple questions..... Which resort is closest to WDW (1-1.5 hrs)? Of the closest resorts, which are the nicest and most reasonable.

How far is Vero Beach from WDW? Any comments, help or advice would help. We need to escape the mountains and frolick on the sandy beaches of the ocean. Thanks!!

cocoa beach is the closest beach--they renamed highway 528 to the "beachline" to point this out. It is roughly 45 minutes from Disney (property line to city limits).

Vero is listed as 2 hours from Disney.
