We're going to the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort for breakfast during our trip. We want to go to EPCOT that day. :sunny:

Is it possible to walk over to the TTC from there? How far is the walk?

Is it better to take the Monorail around to the TTC? How long will that take?

Anyone stayed at the Poly and can answer these questions? I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks! :goodvibes

Definetly walk! It's not a long walk! It will take longer to take the monorail because you will have to go through all the stops (GF, MK, and CR)! It's not a long walk, they even have a walkway! :thumbsup2

It is a short walk and Kona Cafe is awesome. I would walk to and from the TTC/Poly and grab the express monorail to Epcot.

Will it be daylight when you are going to the Poly? I got lost trying to find the way to my room from TTC one dark cloudy night. It ended up taking me forever wandering around the grounds. I finally ended up out in front of the Poly. We should have done the up and down and gotten on the Monorail.

We like to walk to the TTC from the Poly. It is a nice walk and close by our standards. We haven't had a problem getting lost before but we have done it enough that we probably just know where all the paths go.

I agree to walk. It is so close it would probably take longer to take the monorail.

There's a big difference in time between riding TO the TTC from the Poly
and riding FROM the TTC to the Poly.

From TTC to Poly: its the first stop and the trip takes about 1 minute.

From Poly to TTC: its fourth stop and the trip can take up to 12-15 minutes (or more, if they are "testing the brakes" between MK and CR).

We gererally walk to TTC , but ride back (depending on which Poly building we are in, of course).

There is a nice little walking path to Poly from TTC. Just look all the way to the left of TTC before you get too far in from the trams.
One of the things I loved about staying in the Tahiti building at Poly was that you could watch the MK ferry make it's way across the Lagoon and time it so you could get right onto the ferry without waiting. Invaluable when travelling with a toddler! I could walk to TTC and ferry from Poly with a stroller in under 5 minutes. Add another few minutes for getting to the Kona and you'll be fine. Plus it's fairly covered with palm trees so it's not like walking in the direct, blazing sun.
Enjoy, we love Kona!
