How far is Goodings Supermarket?

Just wondering how far of a walk goodings is from DTD? Also, can I get a box of cereal and milk for the kids to eat in the morning at the resort shop at the WL?

Goodings is about a mile from the closest end of DTD.

The shops which support the DVC properties tend to have the basics like milk and cereal, and (I believe) Roaring Forks has cereal/milk as well. The shop at Fort Wilderness might have a better selection since it supports campers.

Garden Grocer and a few other places will deliver groceries to your resort.

Yes, the shop at the Wilderness Lodge stocks half gallons of milk as well as smaller containers and some assorted cereals.

We've done the walk to Goodings a few times from the DTD bus stop. About a mile, not bad in the evening, well lit blvd. easy to find. Alot of others have stated on this board that their prices are higher than normal. This may be true but they are alot cheaper than WDW. We have never done delivery service, prefer to walk and pick up and out our own supplies, doesn't take out from our Disney time, we go first evening, gets us ready for all the Disney walking coming up.

We get sandwich fixings, snacks but more importantly, pop, beer and wine, those items at Disney prices are nuts. Last trip we had a car service pick us up and it came with a grocery stop, did Publix on RT. 192, came from Kissimmee train depot and there was a liquor store next to it, great one stop shopping for our 9 night stay.

Goodings is off of Exit 68 (off of I-4). The Downtown Disney Exit is #67, which would put them about a mile apart. Goodings is in a shopping center.

We have done grocery delivery 5 times now with wegoshop.com and have been very pleased. You order whatever you need by Brand Name, size etc. You can choose the store they shop in, if you want. You schedule a delivery date and time which is convenient for you. The cost is the cost of the items plus a $17 dollar delivery charge. I feel that we saved the delivery charge over shopping at the Screen Door at the BWV.
We order breakfast stuff, coffee, juice, soda, water, beer and wine, cheese and crackers and snacks. We were on the DDP and this was more than enough.
We have been very pleased with Marge and wegoshop.com and we will use them again in the future.
