and see if our flight is cancelled? We have ressie on Air tran for Nov 17. Just the baby and I are flying. DH and kids are driving (too long for a one year old) Thanks

I would call now. One segment of our return flight on 12/01 was cancelled. I discovered this by checking the flight #'s on the AirTran website. When I called they had already scheduled us on a later connecting flight. But who wants to sit in Atlanta for 4 hours? I was able to change the original return flight to a later one and get a few extra hours at WDW and skip the long layover. Interesting note - we wanted the later flight when we originally booked but it was unavailable. You may want to consider checking your flights on their website before you call and familiarize yourself with what is available in the event your flight has been cancelled. Then you can request to be moved to the flight that works best for you instead of taking whatever they've bumped you to. I wasn't assessed the change fee because they had changed the flights in the first place.. But inquire about the change fee before you have them rebook something else. They need to get a supervisor to override it.

Thanks for the advice. I did call and they did change my flight. I told them that it wouldn't work out for me and they said they would refund the $ or give me another flight. Works out great because I wanted to leave a few days earlier but didn't want to pay the change fee so now I don't have to! thanks again.

I would urge anything else who reads this thread to call too. We are booked on United for a trip from 11/22 to 11/26. I called a couple of days ago, and sure enough, our return flight was cancelled. They had already book us on another flight a couple of hours later, but we were very lucky...it doesn't always work out so smoothly. I may be paranoid, but personally I would call now and call again a week or two before the flight and then again the day before. We travel to Orlando a lot, and although we've never had a flight cancelled before, it's amazing how many times I've discovered that the flight times have been changed.
