My DH and I are planning on re-newing our vows for our 15th anniversary. That is four years away, as of Jan. 15th.;)
We want to do the wedding that we didn't have, we married young and with virtually no planning. Everything was chosen by and done for my mom and family.
So, I have started the planning now. We want this to reflect us.
What we are thinking is of having it at Disney, we could provide rooms to our guests using DVC.
How far is too far in advance to meet with a planner?
Do you call and make an appointment?
Can we just go to the different resorts and scope out the wedding sites ourselves?
Any help would be appreciated, because I am completely lost on this........

OMG you are really planning ahead. LOL!!! Well there are alot of things you should research first. A site that you should go to and check out what is to offer is www.yourfairytale.com.
This will give you tons of information as well as a chance to purchas a book that has loads of information as well.

You can only offically book your wedding 1 year in advance with a Disney co-ordinator and then from that time out is the planning stages.

You mentioned visiting the locations now and that is fine to do however one never knows what other locations will be in store in four years. ;) so you may even get a more magical spot than what they already have.

If you need any help or have any other questions at all please dont hesitate to contact me. I have done my homework when it comes to Disney weddings. TRUST ME:teeth:
