How far in advance to book?

How far in advance do you have to book a tent site? Is it too late already for summer 2006? Thanks!

oh no! It is not too late. I just booked for this Sept. I think the in the summer less people tent camp because of the heat.

You should book as soon as your dates are set. You can always apply discount codes or cancel ( ) If you have too. By booking ahead at least you know that there will be a site for you.

I just booked last Thursday for this coming Saturday. Now I know it's slow season now but I was surprised to still be able to get one. You might have to call alot and book on-line a day here and there but eventually you will be able to get all your dates. Good luck.

We are going in May of 2006 and I just made our reservations. We are going in a travel trailer, so I don't know about tenting, but I went through Magial Journeys and the lady there said I was only her 2nd person to request reservations for 2006 so far.

We usually book when we know our dates ... usually 12-14 months in advance.

with the tent sites except on major holidays they are pretty easy to get.
Still its good to get them in advance just in case some event or something is going on. Ft. W has pretty good occupancy levels.

I called today to make a reservation for September 2006.
I was told that it's too early to book for September 2006!

When the CM looked into why his system wasn't allowing him to make the reservation, he said that the policy is now that you can not make a reservation more than 500 days out.
He recommended that I call back in July 2005 in order to be "allowed" to book our September 2006 vacation.

Same here I wanted Nov 2006 so I have to countdown the days to wait to book, it will help me practice for the countdown days for PS
Although I do find it wierd that you can book Hoop-Dee-Doo 2 years in advance and not your hotel reservation oh well!
