How Far In Advance to Book WBC?

I believe we will be going to WBC next year, most likely February. Best guess would be the week of 2/18 - 2/25.

Some questions: Do they allow Friday check ins? Or Sunday check ins?

How far in advance do I need to book (getting this through RCI) to assure getting
a place at WBC. We may just need a 1 room unit.....possibly 2 room, but most
likely 1 room....are those easier to book??

Thanks for any guidance on this. I don't own the RCI timeshare, but a relative has many weeks they need to use up and are offering us a week....WBC is my first choice by far. Grand Beach Resort is my second choice.

For RCI, you are too late to book Bonnet Creek for February and nothing is available at Grand Beach, either.. In fact, nothing is available on RCI for Bonnet Creek right now. Inventory gets dumped in at various times and gets snapped up.

There are several DVC Saratoga Springs 1BRs available, however, for February, and lots of other resorts.

Generally you will be checking in on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday for most timeshare stays you find in RCI.

If you really want to stay at Bonnet Creek, no doubt plenty of people have February reservations they will rent on Ebay or other places.

I'd suggest getting with your friend and looking at your RCI options. There's a lot of resorts you probably haven't heard of around Disney.

I like the Saratoga Springs idea, but for a week there, isn't that value or cost higher than a place at WBC?

Any place you book in RCI will have a cost. There is the RCI points needed for the week. Then there is the exchange fee is $169 for a week. Disney charges a $190 resort fee on top of that.

As for other resorts, I see Silver Lake next to Animal Kingdom, Orange Lake Resort, Wyndham Cypress Palms, Vacation Village at Parkway, Magic Tree Resort and more.

Most of these won't have the resort fee that Disney charges -- but they don't have Magical Express, either.

Anyway you need to get with your relative to see what they can land. Timesharing can be a bit complex as every situation and ownership can be different.

I'm an owner at Bonnet Creek and there is only one 1 bedroom deluxe available for your date. There aren't any 2,3, or 4 bedrooms available. Your best bet would be eBay. RCI has been long gone. Most people do ongoing searches way in advance and get the best properties.

All I need is a 1 bedroom Deluxe....exactly what I am looking for....but I am guessing it will be gone in the next few days...and not being the owner or knowing much about RCI, it is all a maze to me...can you request a specific resort ???? I am going to pass on a Disney place, as paying an additional $ 359 is not my cup of tea.

I would suggest Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake (West Village).They have a lot of 2 bedroom and studios available thru RCI right now. We've stayed there and enjoyed it.

Timesharing a maze indeed.

RCI owners do not have access to the same inventory as Wyndham owners. A Wyndham owners may see an available reservation, but an RCI owner will not. These are all separate systems with their own inventory.

An RCI owner can search the time period for what's available and sort by the highest-rated resorts.

What about Vistana Villages or the Vistana Resort??? I have stayed at both and liked both.

I am surprised that Grand Beach is fully booked, as I did not think it was a popular resort.

Vistana isn't available In RCI for your dates. Westagte Vacation Villas, Vacation Villages at Parkway, Barefoot in the Keys, Worldgate Resort is available for your dates. And Orange Lake.

Does RCI availability ever change as you get closer to the date you need? Do people back out or cancel and their ressie get added back into RCI, or is that a remote possibility ????

If it happens, it doesn't happen very often that I've seen. I only thing I would count of is that every day you wait, you will have less choice as the higher-rated resorts get booked.
