How Far in Advance Should I Start Looking at Renting Points?

My wife and I are considering going to Disney World in April 2005 (I know, a long ways away). We might want to consider renting DVC points. How far in advance should I start checking this board about availability? How far in advance does Disney announce how many points a room will cost and the different "seasons"?

Doug,

Considering that no member may make a reservation for April 2005 until May 2004, you still have some time to plan for your points. I would suggest that you do line up a source for points now so that your reservation can be placed as soon as the 11th month priority reservation window opens especially if your vacation is planned over the Easter holiday period in 2005 or you plan to secure a standard view Villa at the Boardwalk or stay at the Beach Club Villas. Thanks. Will I know in May 2004 how many points it will take to book a few days in April 2005? Or doesn't Disney release the "seasons" until closer to the end of the calendar year?

The point requirements for 2005 have already been distributed to the members. If you have the exact dates, Resort, and villa size, one of the members can figure the point requirements for you.
