How Far in Advance Does Disney Announce Refurbs?

We're pretty much locked into Oct 18 - 27 in 2018 and I'd like to know what, if anything, will be closed then. So far I'm seeing nothing except those things permanently closed, when can I expect to see any refurbs they may do during that time?

When we went in August one year, they announced a couple refurbs maybe 3-4 months ahead of when we went. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Most refurbs happen in the first few months of the year. When we went, the refurbs were extended ones for Dinosaur and BTMRR that don't normally happen.

I can tell you that 98% of CM don't know in advance, when I was a CM working at the reservation center I got yelled at a lot by guests who were there and angry they weren't told in advance. "Maam I apologize for the inconvenience, Im sure the refurb wasn't announced when you booked or the CM that helped you book would have read you the notice that would have popped up"
Refurbs are disappoint I know, but really when would be a good time? Someone would always be disappointed.. Now when they refurb a pool in the spring/summer I find that ridiculous unless there really is a safety issue..
