How far in advance do you plan?

I thought we were fanatic for deciding our 6/05 dates on the drive home from our 6/04 trip. :rotfl:
Earlier this week we set our tentative dates for 2006 & 2007.
When you factor in APs & school breaks you have to plan ahead... :rolleyes1
Plus, it's FUN!!

Very true on both points!
We are in the same boat. Allready have late 2005 & 2007 plans booked & on the calendar. Now trying to see how to squeeze in a 2006 trip as the others take a majority of our points.
The planning is fun & a bit nerve wracking! :hyper2: :crazy2:

I simply try to make our plans before the 7 month window in case we want a bigger unit that might be harder to get (like a 2 bedroom the first week of December). Chances are I would not have a problem since we want SSR, but I don't like risking it either.

We plan trips in between 2-3 months at a time. A weekend here and there. Mostly for the big stuff like Star Wars Weekend coming up.

Crikey, I am embarassed to say I am planned up to about 2012... in my head!

WDW Aug 2005
DLP Feb 2006
WDW Oct 2006
WDW Aug 2007
France & DLP Summer 2008
Hong Kong Disneyland Summer 2009
WDW Aug 2010
WDW Aug 2011
West Coast trip Aug 2012

We are doing Dec 2005 and Oct 2006 (same PAP's)!

Then Dec 2007 again-just unsure of where yet. We may try SSR. Then Oct or Nov 2008 to use the PAP's again!

We'd also like to try VB some summer when the kids are out of school. :sunny:

I've got my plans worked out for 3 trips a year through 2007. Already have my ressies for 1/06, and it won't be long before I make my 11 month reservation for 5/06. I LOVE PLANNING!! It's a huge part of the fun for me.

Well I have this year done.. leaving in 24 days, 8 hours, 36 minutes, and 24 seconds ... not that I'm counting for the Yacht Club, then my next vacation is October 2005 to California and then May of 2006 to Germany got 2 weeks and then October 2006 to WDW and again in May of 2007 to WDW. That's as far as I've gotten...

I need professional help!!!

We have Oct 2005 booked. We have penciled in First week of Dec 2006, a couples only long weekend with DH during late winter early spring 2007, and then return in Oct 2007 to take advantage of the remaining AP days.

DH and I vowed that we will have a couples only weekend mid way thru each annual pass. We went this past January and left DD and DS with MIL and had a wonderful time.....a tradition was born! Gotta love the Segway Tour!

Guess I may as well embarrass myself...

I have it planned out (on paper, no less) through 2011. Granted, it will change 53 times before we actually make it to 2011, but, well, you know. :rolleyes1

My husband worries about me, but he always has a great time on our vacations, so he admits that he's (secretly) glad that I am such a sorry freak.

I make lists and plans for EVERYTHING. You should see my garden planning book. I wonder if there is such a group as Anal Planners Anonymous...

Sad Sad Sad. :sad2:

I love to plan ahead but we are at the stage where we are considering a second child. Of course pregnancy and due dates affect travel plans (we live in England so it is a long flight) I dont want to go to WDW heavily pregnany or with a newborn. Early pregnancy or a baby 4+ months plus would be fine.

So our current plans are:
May 2005- VWL 13 nights
September 2005- 4 nights Contemporary Tower then 16 nights OKW
September 2006 BCV????????????

September 2006 is my parents 40th wedding anniversary. We want to take them to BCV for 2 weeks, we stayed there with all our friends and family for my wedding in 2001. We have seen great flight deals but we dont want to book incase I get pregnant later this summer. I need to plan my pregnancy around my vacations!!!!!!!!!!!! If only it were that easy! :earboy2:
