How far in advance can you make FW ressies?

Since we're fairly new to this, we were wondering just how far in advance FW takes reservations? Unfortunately, our schedules run with the school calendars because of the 4 kids, and DH and I are teachers. We do already have Christmas of 2008! Thanks!

The official answer is 500 days out. However in actual practice for FW I have found this to be not always true. They seem to enter dates into the system slower and in stages. This might be done in an effort to control over planners from booking everything up right away.

I'm sort of convinced that is true and is the exception to the rule in general. The word is if at first you don't succeed try, try, try, again like twice a day and you will get what you want.

Since the general consensus seems to be that FW releases dates little by little, could we start a thread for Disers to let each other know when popular and hard to get dates are released? What do you think?

The major holidays seem to be the biggest priority. Those dates for 2008 are already into the system. Many have booked dates thru spring of 2009. Things will be fairly quiet now until late summer/early fall when Disney startes to trickle the 2009 Thanksgiving and Christmas dates into the system.
