My family would like to try the land/sea package in June 2004. How far in advance can you make these reservations? Also, is this package a good value for a family of 4? I appreciate the help and LOVE these boards. Thanks.

I believe right now they are booking through April 2004. We did a 3 day cruise with an 8 day stay at WDW after the cruise. I priced a land/sea package (not including airfare, as I could research and find a cheaper fare, AND a direct flight, which DCL doesn't always do. I found a Delta direct flight from Boston, round trip for $158, MUCH less than what DCL quoted!) and I also priced the land and sea separately, and there was a BIG price difference. We had a family suite (Category 4) and DCL booked us for the Polynesian as the resort that is booked with a Category 4 cabin. However, we booked Port Orleans Riverside on our own for HALF the amount, and booked the cruise separately, too. We used DCL transfers (not always the most economical) for the convenience.
Try using Dreams Unlimited which is what we have done for our last few cruises and WDW stays. They will be more than happy to suggest the best plan for your family, and give you several options.

I, too, am anticipating a June 2004 cruise with my Girl Scouts. However, as you have read, they are only accepting til April 2004. But that's ok, it gives us a bit more fund raising time. And, by all means, book seperatly. By using a lower grade hotel, (still Disney so not "low" by any means), we were able to add one additional park hopper day and another night. (For less $$$)

Thank you all so much for answering my question. I will certainly compare the pricing. The convenience of checking in just once is about the only thing that recommends the package to us. I don't mind standing in line a bit if a substantial amount of $$$ can be saved. Thanks again - we really appreciate it!
