How far in advance can we make our hotel reservations?

Planning our first stay at Tokyo Disney and I have no idea what to do lol. Not sure how far in advance we are able to make our reservations. We are going October 2025. I'm also confused as to where to book. I would love to do a deluxe but there is no way we can afford it. It will have to be value or moderate but trying to figure out what we can expect the rates to be in order to compare them seems very hard. Any advice? We are thinking Celebration or Toy Story.

Room-only bookings can be made four months to the calendar day of the desired date.

Vacation Packages go on sale once a month, five months before the desired month. Right now, you can book them through March 31, if they’re not already sold out yet. They went on sale at the end of September.

Maybe I"m looking in the wrong space, but I'm seeing packages out now for April and they're opening by the day.
The calendar goes through April, but packages can only be booked through March 2025. If you try to book in April, you will get an error.

Additional 2025 months are being released at the beginning of each new month, so April 2025 will be able to be booked in November 2024, and May 2025 will be able to be booked in December 2024. You can find the exact date as TDR announces it on their update page: https://reserve.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/information/list/?pagingNo= a few days before the new month goes on sale for booking.

Interesting. I was on two nights ago practicing for an April booking. I used April 6 as a practice run. I got as far as selecting attractions/meals before I had to go to bed. (It was taking a while to load each step.) I suppose if I had stayed to the end for proper booking, it's possible I would have gotten an error.

I would not recommend the Celebration Hotel. I think staying at the Tokyo Bay Sheraton or Hilton is a much better option as you are on the monorail loop. The Celebration Hotel is very light on theming, so not much more exciting than a normal hotel room. But you need to take a shuttle bus.

Weird, it is erroring out for me on any April package booking.

Agreed. Would vouch for Toy Story or the Hilton/Sheraton for ease of access, as long as your budget allows. Celebration is far off property and will require much more logistical planning for getting to the parks.

Yeah, it was doing that for me as well, except for right when bookings opened up at 11am Japan time. I assumed the "error" was really "no availability" since I could select multiple rooms and properties for the night that had immediately opened at 11am.
