How Far Have You Moved?

Snuggles, Thomasville is a pretty town.:)

The furtherest I've ever moved is 32 miles.

Another military member here!

I went from CO to the Philippines, Philippines to ID, got married in ID, ID to FL, FL to NE then NE to LA. We should stay here for a while!

From Michigan to Nevada, from Nevada to Michigan, from Michigan to California, from California to Michigan.

I moved from Cincinnati, ohio to 40 miles west of Indianapolis for 7 years then we just moved back to Cincinnati, Ohio
Kim

Best of luck to you though! Where are you going?

I am leaving the small but beautiful state of New Hampshire for the excitement of Chicago! Once the Old Man of the Mountain fell down, well that was it for me! I am outta here! :teeth: ;)

We move a lot when we were growing up. My dad is a retired minister, so we found ourselves relocating every 4 years or so.

In my adult life, the biggest move that I made was from a suburb of Cleveland (Ohio) to Hermosa Beach (California). I only lasted on the west coast for a couple of years and ending up moving back to Ohio....to the same apartment that I had left two years prior.

I think I know some of the thoughts and feelings that you are experiencing Carol. Some people are excited about the possibility of moving. I'm not in the crowd.

Don't forget to wave as you drive by Cleveland on your way to your new home. Congrats on the move.

I moved from NYC to Paris when I was 23 years old. Back then, I could handle the culture shock, now I'm not sure I could.

LOL! :D
Sounds cool!

Er, um... methinks it was the Richmond, VA to Chicago, IL move... but SSB ain't great with readin' a map...

;)

Erie, PA to Cleveland, OH (about 100 miles) for college. Then just moves around the Cleveland area since then, including our next move in about 3-4 ( ) months to our new house. :)

i was born in california, and then we moved to upstate ny. then i moved from upstate ny to london and back. :) i had the best time of my life in london, and would move back in a heartbeat if i could. :D)

Moved from So. Calif. where I lived for 27 years to No. Fl. It was very tramatic due to family circumstances but I think we have settled in nicely....I love living 20 min. from the beach..

Holycow

I grew up in Hawaii and am now in Michigan, with a few moves in between...but when DH retired from the Air Force, we made the stupidest move of all time--LOL!!! To make a long story short, we loaded up the Penske truck, drove from Wichita Falls, TX to Charlottesville, VA (sight unseen, mind you), thinking that we would make a new life there. After 5 days we realized we didn't "belong" there and left VA for northern MI (lower peninsula) where DH is from. What a fiasco! Who else moves from TX to MI via VA?? We learned a few lessons from that one...

My largest move was from New Jersey to Orlando, a little more than 5 years ago. It was definately traumatic, but worth it :) After all, I gave up "WINTER" for 3 really hot months and 9 months of spring :)

The hardest part of the move was adjusting to the different attitudes here in Orlando. Everything is much more laid back here than in Jersey. That, and the fact that you can't find a decent pizza or bagel in Orlando still has me miffed :)

North Dakota to Texas. About 1000 miles as well. It's just DH, DD and I here. Oh and my SIL who I see probably once every 2 months even though she lives less than a mile away. All of our other family still lives in ND. I really miss not having grandma and grandpa close for dd. We moved when she was 6 months old. She turned 4 in March. July will be the first time my mom has ever been here. We'd move back in a heartbeat but there's nothing there job wise for dh. :(

I have lived within the same 2 mile radius for all of my 42 years!!

Lived in my parent's home until my mom sold it when I was 19 and she bought a condo...lived there with her til I got married then lived in the condo next door to her for 6.5 years and then my dh and I bought a house 2 streets from where I grew up. I can look out my kitchen window and see the house where I grew up.

I guess I have NO LIFE AT ALL:eek:.

From Natick, Mass to Palo Alto, Ca to Golden, Colo to Northern Virginia to Conyers, GA to Mesa AZ. Hmm, I have almost made the entire loop again.

Which one?

I moved from one side of town to the other in grade school in New Jersey. That was it, until graduation from college, when I moved from New Jersey to north Virginia. Then from north Virginia to south-west Virginia. Then from SW Virginia to Missahsippee. We'll be leaving Missahsippee either this month for Texas or in December/January for the Air Force only knows where. With luck, we'll live in the next place for two whole years before moving again! (Unless, of course, if we get sent to Texas this month, in which case we'll move again in January.)

Kansas to California, CA to Germany, Germany to N. Carolina, NC back to Germany, Germany back to Kansas.

The only place I'm goin' from here is Orlando. (I wish . . . . .):D
