How far from HOJO to LAX?

We're staying at HOJO and flying out of LAX on the 4th of June (WED) at 10:45am United.

I'm wondering if we should stay at HOJO that night the 3rd (we'll have a rental car) or stay near LAX so we don't have to deal with traffic and getting up early in the am on Wed the 4th.

DH wants to stay at LAX. I'm torn b/c then we have to ck out etc. (Again, we'll have a car to put our stuff in and will just keep the car at HOJO's.) But we'll have to drive to the new hotel that night.

Ideas? How bad is traffic to LAX? What would you do?

I would just stay at the HOJO, then get up extra early and head out to LAX. I wouldn't like moving and trying to find another hotel. I haven't been to LAX, but I imagine it is very busy, although I would think that if it has a light day, it may be on a Wed because it is the middle of the week. It seems easier to me to just leave earlier from the HOJO and allow extra time. Unless you just want to sleep in or you really are that worried about the traffic. Since I haven't ever flown into/out of LAX (we always do SNA, smaller and closer) there maybe others that have done that and can give you a more accurate description of how long it would take to get to LAX from the DL area.
