How far a drive is it from WDW?

Just wondering how far a drive it would be to drive from WDW to Universal?

Depending on traffic, I'd imagine it'd be around 20-30 minutes.

It really depends on where you're staying at Disney. If you're staying at AKL then I would say more like 40-45 mins but closer to 30 mins from the DD area.

It's only about 25 minutes from the Pop Century area, which is where we usually stay. However, don't go on I-4, or you can get caught in traffic. We try to take Turkey Lake Road, which is behind Universal. Look at mapquest, and try to use side streets, rather than the busy expressway. Unless you are going during off-peak times (non-rush hour).

Also, last week, we came from AK to the outlets that are just north of Universal. The GPS said it would take 11 minutes, and it wound up taking about 15. But this was a 6:30 pm.

I4 can indeed be a bear. Just go out of Disney atthe Crossroads gate (535). Make a left onto 535, take that to Sand Lake Road and turn right. Then turn left onto Turkey Lake Road and take it to the Uni entrance, which will be on your left.
