how easy to combine a trip to paris or versailles

hi, we are hoping to go to disneyland paris next year for my 30th and are considering 2 nights at the disneyland hotel and either 2 nights in paris or at a hotel in versailles (we are not sure if want to do paris or versailles hotel yet). How easy is it to get from disney to paris or disney to versailles, we will be going to france via eurostar i think rather than flying to france.

have people done this? is it expensive to get to disney from paris or versailles?? what is the travelling times? and which would be best to do first disney than paris or versailles or paris/versaille or disney

It's 40 mins from Disney to central Paris on the RER and then about another 45 mins after that to Versailles as you transfer twice.

I wouldn't stay out at Versailles as the Chateau can easily be visited in a day and there is nothing else to do out there

The RER is not bookable online in advance, you just buy your tickets at the station when you get there or you can go a few days before and get them when you go and check hours say. You can use your ticket on any train at any time.

At present it's 6,70€ for a one way ticket from DLP to central Paris or vice versa.
It will go up on the 1st of July, annual ticket increase, but not by much.

The RER is just like the metro and shares many stations with it. It's just a light railway, faster as it stops in less places but the tickets and zones correspond to the metro ones in general. The website www.rapt.fr has all the info you need, Disney is Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy, sometimes suffixed Parks-Disneyland.

If you have an iPhone or iPod touch, Orange do a Versailles app which gives an overview of the gardens and on the iPhone can give you localised commentrywhen you are there. It's either free or £1.79, it seems to vary.

yay the disney part is booked, 2 nights at the disneyland hotel (wednesday and thursday in april next year) cant wait as only ever stared at santa fe and sequioa lodge at dlp before!

still got to book the paris hotel as we are still choosing which one, we've decided to stay 3 nights in paris now rarther than 2, but cant wait!!
