How easy is it to switch fast pass+ attractions day of?

You changed from one ride that never really needed a fastpass to another that doesn't really need one. Definitely no problem there. The problem is changing fastpasses for popular attractions.

We are here now and I feel like the system is really clunky and not very flexible, I am not a fan of it at all because we like to be flexible when we tour. If I have a fP for soarin and want to go to MK instead for whatever reason, I want to be able to get a comparable FP, not one for Stitch.

I would also like the system to be smarter and know if I have used my FP or not. If I miss my window for whatever, reason, say a sick kid it would be nice if the system could pick up on that and let me reschedule something even if it is past the time. Shouldn't be that difficult.

Agreed with the system knowing if you've used the fastpass.

We went towards the end of Sept. and it was very, very easy to change FP+ selections on the fly. We did it every day, several times a day.

One glitch I found was if I tried to switch a FP+ reservation while on wifi, I got the "no experiences available" error. But if I turned off my wifi and just used my cellphone's data, I could change the FP+ without a problem. Basically, it seemed like the wifi service was so overused and spotty, it wasn't connecting properly to the server.

I just got back and would give you the opposite advice. I hardly ever had data service in the parks, but found the WiFi speedy and reliable.

Sometimes I had to compromise on time but I really only had two things I could not change.


Soarin (only offered me a late time and had other plans)


TSMM I have no desire to ride this but had done it as FP+ because I wouldn't have to fight the crowds to get a FP and because it was sedate enough for my mom. There was absolutely NO offers to change it. We ended up skipping it as my mom was like 'isn't it like that spaceman thing we rode at MK, that was cheesy'.

My SIL's friend just got back and she said there was very little available. I do not know what parks she went to on which days, but that was her experience. Of course, it could be that the visited the busiest parks.

strangely, 2 weeks ago when I wanted to change some FP+ around MDE let me do it in 2 steps. Wanted Soarin around noon, only option was 7pM. Took the 7PM, went back in to change the time and the earlier options were available so I changed to the time I had wanted. Happened a few times, even booked another FP+ at the time I wanted another attraction, went in and changed from the FP+ I didn't want to the one I had wanted. Took awhile to accomplish but got it done.
