how easy/difficult WDW-IOA-shopping-WDW

OK so we never drive in the USA. We generally stay onsite at WDW although we have visited KSC and Seaworld in the past.

We want to go to IOA this year (actually mainly WWOHP) and have read how easy it is to get a cab from WDW to IOA and back (which is what we have done to get to Seaworld in the past).

If before returning to WDW we were to detour to either PremiuM outlets or Florida Mall how easy/difficult would we find it. Presumably no problem from IOA to either mall but would it be a nightmare to get back to WDW from the mall. Thanks

It shouldn't be a problem. You can keep the phone number for Mears Taxi with you just in case.

It won't be cheap. Plan on it costing a bit over $100, round trip.

When we drove over to the outlet mall this past May early on a Friday morning I was amazed as how many taxi's were waiting. As we made our way back to the car they appoached us and asked if we need a ride.
so you should have no issues getting back. Beware though at night time route 535 is very very congested so the more time you sit in traffic the more it will cost you. so plan to go when its not too busy usually morning or early afternoons.

Thank you both for your replies. Unfortunately due to extreme roaming charges we can't use our cell phone in the USA so that makes us reliant on either waiting taxis or booking transport in advance.

If it will make you feel better, you could pick up a tracfone when you're in the US. They only cost about $10 and usually come with 20 or 30 minutes of airtime.

You can get them at walmart or target. Some grocery stores have them.
