How early will they bring coffee to room?

Hi all-

How early can you get your coffee in your stateroom? Do you put out your order on the doorknob the night before specifying the time you would like it? Are they usually "on time" with it? Is the coffee hot? We are really looking forward to having our first cup on the verandah each morning whilst the kiddos sleep on!

(Sorry, dh and I are picky picky coffee people!)

They were always on time. I seem to recall the earliest they come is 7:00 a.m. There are boxes for suggested delivery times. Be aware though, they will call you room prior to coming up. Not sure if you can request they do not do that or not. You can also grab a cup at Topsiders earlier if you like. The verandah coffee is the best coffee. Watch the dock activities or the sun rising. What a way to start the day. Have fun!!!!

Have it delivered the night before, it should be delivered in a carafe that will keep it pretty warm until the next morning. Then enjoy!!!

We also are very particular about our coffee and usually bring our own. Are there facilities in the staterooms for making tea or coffee?

Somehow I don't think DH will go for that!! he's a snob when it comes to coffee, lol!

DW is a coffee snob as well and wasn't too impressed with the coffee. However, she was impressed with the Cove Cafe and made frequent trips there. So I can not attest to the quality of the RS coffee, or lack thereof, as opposed to others, but I guess it was tolerable at best.

Black and Decker has a neat little product now that makes the single cup coffees using the little cups such as Green Mountain and I am sure others (I think it comes with Folgers). You may want to look into this as I am for DW for Christmas to take on our January cruise. Just a thought.

DH and I usually woke up around 4:00 a.m. I called room service when we got up, and the coffee and tea were usually there within 10 minutes. Room Service is available 24 hours a day, so you can order it as early as you want.

Our favorite items from room service were the three cheese pizza, the chocolate chip cookies, and the chicken tenders. Yum!!!

Last summer we put the "breakfast" request form on our door each night. The earliest option for the door request form was 6:30 a.m., but I'm sure you can call and request coffee whenever you want it. I need coffee the minute I wake up, so 6:30 was great for me. Our order was delivered at exactly 6:30 each morning.
