Animal Kingdom has EMH the day we are going, so they open at 8 am.

We have FP's for FOP later in the day, but I still don't want to wait an hour for Navi River.

How early before 8 am do we need to get to the park for rope drop Navi River?

From reading other posts, it sounds like they open the park a little early for Pandora, but I also know that probably 80%-90% of those people are going to FOP.

You really don't have to compete with many people at AK to get on NRJ at RD. We RD back in Aug 2017 when it was chaos for FOP and Pandora and we arrived 10 min before park opening and so we couldn't get in line for FOP (well we could but it was a 4 hour wait) so we walked over to NRJ and it was a 10 min wait.

I haven't been back to RD pandora since then but from what I've been reading, there isn't much RD demand for NRJ. I say plan to be at the park 10-20 min early. I always like to build in some cushion just for potential transportation delays.

We were at AK this past Friday.
Opening was at 9am, but we were let in early.
Line for FOP was at 90 min before 9:00! (so glad we scored that FP)

Navi RJ was 10 minutes I believe. We essentially walked right through and onto the ride.

I would think a 2 year old would love it. Lots to look at and keep their attention. It's just a nice sedate boat ride.

Most boring ride ever. Would never wait for it. Would only do it if it was a walk on.
It was a bigger let down then mine train. I didn’t think that was possible. Flight of passage on the other hand was amazing.

Probably. I can’t remember if there’s anything that would frighten a baby. It is little dark on the ride.

Naw she's doesn't scare easily. She's a trooper.

I only ask because we are going to AK in December and there isn't a whole lot of rides we can go on as it is. Meh, I'll FP it and see what's what.

Sorry to hijack the thread OP.

This is my plan too. FOP fastpasses later in the day but was planning to rope drop NRJ. We are going on an EMH morning too. Glad to know that we don’t have to get there super early before opening.

I really like Navi- I thought it was beautiful.

We were there a little over 2 weeks ago. My plan was to be there before opening and rope drop Navi as we had FOP FP+ for later that day. I knew AK was opening 20 or 30 minutes early. DD (never a morning person) was not moving quickly that morning so we wound up not getting off the bus until right about 9:00 (official park opening time). By the time we got to Navi, it had a 45 minute wait and FOP was a 2 hour wait. It was not a high crowd day. Navi was a real 45 minutes too, not an inflated wait time posting, because we got in the line and waited.

We avoid EMH days so someone else can help you on that, but I don't think you need to be there super early when you are getting in for EMH.

OR...you get in line 75 minutes before park opening, do FOP at RD and then do NRJ once with a 10 minute wait. FOP is soo good and if you can do it twice, you really should. And by doing it this way, you can still do NRJ with a very short wait. I LOVE NRJ but wouldn't want to wait more than 15 minutes for it.

I have waited from 0 to 10 minutes for NRJ after rope dropping FoP. So it is not really necessary to be early to rope drop just for NRJ. For FoP you really need to be 90 minutes early for rope drop if you want to be near the front of the line.

More like 99.9% head to FoP.

Yes, they have been opening Pandora a bit early. Last time I rope dropped FoP I was off the ride 3 minutes before official opening. From there I just walked on NRJ.

We were close to the front of the FOP line at RD, got on about 8:30ish (park opening was 9am, we got there about 7:30) and were done by 8:40ish. Walked on NRJ in less than 10 minutes after riding FOP. I second the suggestion of RD and then Fastpass later...you WILL want to ride FOP again.

Hi! What time did you arrive that out you near the front? Thanks ❤️ (Fellow autism mama here!)
