How Early to Report @ MCO for a 6:30 am Flight??

We're considering a Sun. flight home from MCO at 6:30 am using UsAir. Any actual experience as to how early to drag the luggage down from our on site Hyatt room?

All I can say is, the earlier the better!! I'd say 5:00 at the latest...

We had a 9am flight home on Friday 12/7, so figured we'd better be at the airport by 7. Well, we were, and by 7:30 we were at our gate, wondering how to kill and hour and a half with kids (answer: burger king for b'fast). There were no lines, no problem with security, etc. for us that day!
