How early to get BOG RD advantage?

How early in the morning do I need to have reservations at BOG to make it "worth it" to get the advantage of being in Fantasyland early? I've got the option of getting an 8:30 on a 9 am opening or an 8:45 on a 9 am opening with 8 am EMH. Would either of those be good to get? I couldn't really find information on how late isn't early enough (does that even make sense?) - the intention is to grab 7DMT immediately after breakfast. Sorry for the fairly newbie questions, but as an adult I've only been there as a CM guest and this is my very first time planning a full trip!

There is no advantage on a EMH morning as all the EMH folks will already be in fantasy land at 8am.

The 8:30 will give you an advantage, you can get into the park @ 7:50 with the rest of the pre park eaters and head straight for BOG, you will be able to eat before 8:30.

8:45 is too late.

Even pre-ordering, you need to eat. 8:30 might be possible. 8:20 or earlier is better.

ETA: On an EMH day, both times are no good and you're wasting good time eating.

I snagged the 8:30 on the 9 am opening and will keep stalking for an earlier one. Thank you for the advice!

If you are searching for a reservation for a party of 2 or more, don't forget to search for 1-person reservations at the same/similar times. I booked a BOG lunch for my party of 3 by making separate 1-person reservations - two at 12:10pm, one at 12:15.

My experience with 7D at opening is that if you're not up near the front of the line for the park opening ceremony then you're probably looking at a 45 minute or more wait by the time you hike back there for the first train at 9:00. (I tried to get back there 2x on a trip in Nov. and while I was at the park by the official opening I was too far back to catch the opening ceremony & even tho I hoofed it back there as fast as I could I waited 45 minutes.) Last week we went for 8 am EMH's and managed to be there by 7:20 so we caught the opening ceremony which was at 7:45 and then we only had about a 5-10 minute wait for 7D.

IMO the only way for it to be an advantage for BOG breakfast is to eat early enough that you're sure to be finished before the park opens (whatever time that may be) so you can hit the line BY 9:00.

If you want to take advantege of you ADR, get to the check in area before 7:45. So far, the CM's let everyone in and at the podium at BOG, they will probably check you in when yu arrive. The goal is to get everyone in, seated, and fed. So...get there early, check in the MK early, hope you get checked in to BOG early and you are set!
