How early to be at the park?

We are going Septemember 30-October 4. The park opens at 10 am. Is getting there at 9:30 early enough? Do they sometimes open earlier than scheduled like at DW? Should we maybe get there at 9 or 9:15 or would that be a waste of time?

On days that the park opens at 10 am, Main Street should be open approx. 30 minutes prior. They will do rope drop at the end of Main Street at 10.

The line will usually back up into the plaza well before 9:30 AM as they will open the gates to Mainstreet then and then rope drop at 10:00 AM at the end of Mainstreet.

I would recommend being there as early as 9:00 to be near the front of the lines at the gate.

FYI, according to the current schedule for 9/30/07, the park hours for DL are 8am to midnight and then from 10am to 8pm on the weekdays, so you may want to be there even earlier on Sunday.

Thanks, we are actually arriving Sunday afternoon, so we won't be in the park until that evening.
