The title probably says it all. How early do you recommend arriving for ADR's. Have 3 pretty little kids so want to do the right thing but try to avoid as much waiting as we can. Also, have and ADR for Donalds Safari Breakfast at 9:20 and the park opens at 9:00 am. It seems to be in the back of the park? I have never been to Animal Kingdom so I have no idea how long it will take to get there? Do we just head stright there? I wouldn't think they would let you in early for an ADR that starts after opening?

I get there 5-10 minutes earlier and still end up waiting almost every time.

I would assume 20 minutes would be plenty of time to get to the restaurant for your reservation but I'm not an AK expert.

If AK opens at 9, I would plan to get to the park b4 opening- (aim for about 8:40) and then you can watch the park opening ceremony. It's very cute and all the characters come out and there's a whole little show to open the park. Then when the ropes drop head to the restaurant. Or if they've finished the opening show and everyone else is still waiting- u should be able to get by to go to breakfast.
ALSO WHAT I WOULD DO IF I WERE YOU- since the breakfast buffet is right next to Kilimanjaro Safaris- I would go and put your name in for your party at 9, then go to Kil. Saf. and get Fast Passes for your party. That way when you're done w/ breakfast you should be able to jump right on with no wait.
