All these threads about Newark are great, glad to see so many tristate area folks here!!

I've been pricing airfare for a few weeks (since we decided to go to Disney for our vacation in May) and I am checking the sites almost daily. Little did I know that the price I saw one of the first times I checked wouldn't show its little head again and they've since DOUBLED.

How exactly do they figure their airfare?? We are just about at the 90 day mark, can I expect prices to go down at all from this point or should I just take the $250/pp? I hate shelling out $1,000 and we wouldn't be flying again any time soon so even a credit voucher later on wouldn't do much for me.

Do I suck it up? Would you imagine prices could go much higher?? Is there even a chance of them going down or do they only go up as you get closer?

Thanks!!

I usually watch prices for a couple of weeks before booking. Fortunately, the prices from DFW didn't change while I was watching.

hey-Sue...I'm in the smae boat as you! I am checking the websites of all the airlines for our upcoming trip....no movement at all. teh best I can find is for flight times that are departing both ways at 6:15 AM.....I can't see leaving WDW that early! So, I am just holding out....it's a gamble, I know, but I am going to try for a little bit to see. Byt he end of this month, I might be getting worried, but not yet.

Unfortunately for me to get the best price I had to book a 6:40 a.m. flight. It is the same flight we had last year that I promised my DD that we wouldn't take again. Oh, well, when she gets a job and wants to pay she can chose what time we leave. The good thing is that we land at 10:00 a.m. so we can have a rest at the resort before we hit a park. Coming back we are leaving at 10:30. I would like to leave later but since this will be our 8th day there I am sure we will be ready to come home.

Good luck on your flight!

Leaving NJ at 6:15am doesn't bother me to go to WDW, it is the return trip FROm Orlando to NJ that leaves at 6:15AM that is making me not purchase at that price.
I'll just gamble and wait a little longer.

Bobbi... which airline has the cheap flight for 6:15am. I find Spirits 7am flight too early yet the 1pm is too late. So, if their prices stay over $230/pp I will just fly out of Newark and have my choice of flights.

Sue-
USair has the 6:30am out of Philly to Orlando and 6:15am out of Oralndo back to Philly. roundtrip is $176.

Sorry, Sue...I think in my first post I wrote NJ (beings that I live in NJ) I really meant flights out of Philly, which is the closest airport to where I live.
Sorry if I confused you!
