Hi All! This is my first trip to Disney.:yay:
I am planning on buying some groceries with GG or We goshop. Questions:
How far ahead of the trip should I put in my order? We leave Aug. 12,'08
How much do I tip?
Any recommendations from you Dis Veterans on what I should definitely buy besides our snacks, ham, cheese, bread, juice and cereal and peanutbutter?

I think I place my order about a month and half before our trip, but then again I was thinking about the amount of people that will be attending the parks, and since we went in May it wasn't like it was going to be super crowded. But I didn't want to take any chances so I think I made the order about a month or so ahead. I think you said you were going in Aug. I don't know how many people will be going to the parks but I do know that it's getting busier and busier at that time of the year, so I would call GG to be sure, ask them for the month of Aug. what they think. I think we tipped about five dollars, I figured it's not like they are making a trip just for me, they make sure they are coming to the property with lots of others to deliver for, so I didn't feel really bad about doing anything more than that. Hope this helped. Have a wonderful time, plan, plan, plan and you'll have a great and magical time!
OH! Food! OK, we bought milk also, I took a pull along fold down type cooler that you can get at walmart, folded it down as much as possible and put it in the bottom of one of the suit cases, took it out and filled with ice. The cooler was great because you could roll it outside dump the water and then roll it down to the ice machine and fill up again every night and every morning with ice for the next several hours, I just kept it closed as much as possible, it never leaked and it was so worth having there. We bought some fruit, bread, peanutbutter, cereal (bought set of four bowls and cups from Wally World, each set was a dollar and then I'll take some plastic spoons) and soda that my dh can't live without, they only serve Coke products and my dh is a Mt. Dew drinker, so I got some for him, and last but certainly not last a case of water! I wouldn't do without this at the time your going, the bigger size case the better. I put the milk, a couple of sodas and the amount of water that was needed per person, you only need one per person anything more is a waste it will be warm before you get to the next bottle. I think I took a couple of bottles for myself and everyone was made to take their own backpacks, so they all took at least one bottle themselves. Aug. you'll probably want to take in as much as possible with you, especially if you have a stroller, I would say at least two per person. Hope this helped.

Great question! Do you have to be there when they deliver or will they just take it to the front desk? If you have to be there, are they pretty good about telling you what time?
