How early is EE? As early as 7 AM??

Okay, I know it sounds like a stupid question -- there's a great post about EE with park hoppers that pretty much answers this question, but. . .

Disneyland hours for our days of visit (August 22-25) are listed as being 8am - midnight. I was a bit surprised to see that early an opening to the general public. Am I reading that right? Would that mean EE on Thursday and Saturday would be at 7 am?

Thanks!
Judy

As everyone said, EE is one hour before regular park hours and I would add that if you want to get the most value out of EE, get to the gates at (gasp) 6:30AM. The difference between arriving at 6:30AM and 6:50AM will be several extra Fantasyland rides whose lines get huge later in the day.

Gasp is right! I remember heading over to DL for our EE at 6:30 last year thinking "what am I doing up so early on vacation?!" :)

Here is another challenge for you. Do what we did and do 7AM EE right after returning from a Hawaii trip with a three hour time difference in the wrong direction. :faint:

Trey, I know you've recommended to people to "use" their EE priviledge early (or first day) in the trip - assuming they only have one EE day.

But you're comment above reminded me of another reason.....especially if EE starts at (gasp) 7am.

If coming from Central Time Zone or the East Coast, it's not as hard to get up early....since the time change works in your favor.

True about traveling from east to west coast. But when going the other way, yikes. In April I took a red eye flight to Orlando, checked into my hotel and then hit the parks all day on about 1.5 hours of airplane sleep. Talk about tired! :)

This is why DH is so happy with the week we're going in November...early morning will be at 9:00 AM for us. ;) He's definintely not a morning person...the old bear. :rotfl2:

Thanks! We're East Coasters, but we'll have been down in San Diego for 5 days before we hit Anaheim -- probably fairly acclimated to the time change, and my teenage daughter has no problem sleeping in past noon EST on any given day. . . We'll see if I can nudge her out of bed early the first day there. . .

That was what dh and the kids said last year. We sure all enjoyed that midafternoon nap at the hotel room that day!
