How early have you been able to check in?

Trying to plan our September trip- On Friday, September 6, we will be arriving in Orlando by car by about 930 am. We plan on going to MK and have tickets for MSSSHP. Our two grandsons usually take a two hour nap from about 12-2. Ideally, we would check in to AofA about 10, let the boys swim and look around, eat, then hope at least one of the three rooms we booked is ready by noon. Then we would go to the park about 2 (we have AP's) and stay until they were too tired to go on. How likely is this scenario? Should we plan on not getting to check in until 3, and going to Mk as early as we can get there that day, then hoping they can nap til about 6 after our check in at 3 before we return for the party? We are trying to decide when we should schedule fast passes. Interested to know how many have gotten an early check in, which we requested during on-line check in.

The earliest I ever received a room ready text was 7:30 AM when I was staying at Coronado Springs this past fall and didn't make any room requests. I did online check in, but didn't make any requests. I put my arrival time as 7 AM.

Like PP's mentioned---totally depends on room occupancy and room turnout. We have arrived to POR and gotten our room is ready text as early as 10 a.m. when our plane touched down at MCO. However, last summer we arrived to the hotel at 3 and I went to the front desk to see why we hadn't gotten our room is ready text and it was because our room in fact wasn't ready. They were able to assign us to a different room, but even that room wasn't ready until almost 5 p.m. It wasn't ideal, as I had my Shipt order groceries which were scheduled to arrive at 5 p.m. and we had dinner reservations over at DS for 6 p.m. But I had to be flexible and unpack and get settled later that night after we returned from dinner.

You may be lucky and have one of the rooms ready at noon. I would make early check-in your only request on your rooms. I think check-in technically starts at 3:00 p.m. for a non-DVC room. I never make room requests, and have found that my room was generally ready later in the afternoon.

We’ve taken an early flight into MCO and been able to check in as early as 9am before. I guess it just depends on room availability.
