How early for lowe level Aladdin seats?

We're going July 3rd-6th (I'm sure it will be packed!). The past few trips we've always been directed up the stairs to the balcony. Even when we arrived somewhat early and were towards the front of the line we were still put up to the upper level.

This trip we have one person who can't do stairs and I suppose could use the elevator. However, we have another person who is deathly afraid of heights and would go nuts sitting up in the balcony. Don't need front row, just anything on the lower level. The past 5 trips we've not been able to do so even after asking a CM for assistance.

Do we need to get in line super super early and be front of line? Any help would be appreciated.

Probably, I'd plan on getting in line about an hour early to be honest. Maybe even earlier.....I hope you can get lower level, too bad you don't have PS for the show...

Fortunately there's several showings in a day, so try showing up early for the 1st or 2nd performance, and if it's still not early enough then you'll have an idea of much earlier to show up for the next showing.

One hour is a good suggestion. We normally go about 45 minutes early, but you're going during the 4th of July holiday so one hour is probably better.

Will the person who will have issues with stairs be in a wheelchair or similar? I've seen wheelchair and electric scooters guests be allowed into the lower lever line even after it had been roped off. My mother rides in a scooter, and if I'm remembering things correctly the few times we have arrived late I think they did direct her to an elevator for the upper level. Makes sense since the handicap sections can fill up too.

It's a great show and worth the wait, so bring things to keep you busy while you wait, I think an hour is good - I've seen people start lining up as soon as the previous show had ended.

Just wondering if the person afraid of heights avoids the SOARIN' ride?

Is the Aladdin show like the Beauty & the Beast show at WDW? Just a show production. Not a dinner show? I went to one when I was nine (yeah, a long time ago) and loved it. I believe it was called "Aladdin and the Three Wishes." Awesome! I need to find the pictures. :thumbsup2

I've never seen the Beauty & the Beast show, but so far the answer sounds like "yes", just a production show and not a dinner show.

There's plenty of videos on YouTube - and looks like I'll be searching for Beauty & the Beast show videos :upsidedow.

I agree to make sure you get there early, but just to tell you my experience, we waited about 25 minutes for the first show on Saturday and were placed in the lowest level (no choice; they just routed everyone into that section of the line automatically until it filled up, I think). I do think the park was less crowded because most APs were blocked out, though.

I wonder how busy July 4th will even be this year. With the blockout dates (even for the 3 for $99 passes), I almost think it might be less crowded than the days around it. Will be interesting to see. For my trip I planned for and expected heavy crowds, so when things were just semi-crowded, I was very pleasantly surprised. :)

Can anyone tell me what the AP black out dates are for next week? June 30-July 3? We will be there during that time and I wanted to see what type of crowds we should expect

When we went the first week of June, they directed everyone to the lower level line until it filled. Then started the Mezzanine (we waited to the side to be in the Mezzanine because some of us had already done lower and wanted to see the carpet this time). Balcony did fill, but they opened it last.

FYI we usually want to sit on the second floor so when we get there we just ask the CM where they are waiting for the upper levels and we are directed off to the side for Mezzanine seating, so you CAN wait if you do want upper levels, just tell the CMs what you are waiting for.

Black out dates, So Cal APs are completely blocked for all of July, Deluxe APs are blocked every Saturday in July and the 3rd-4th-5th of July.

I'll be in a scooter, but can leave it parked for Aladdin. However, I can't climb stairs. Will they allow me to use the elevator to the balcony section?

Hmm, I don't know. There's usually cast members posted at the main entrance helping guests, they could tell you for sure what would be best. They might just suggest bringing your scooter in and riding it in the elevator, might be better to do that too if you have trouble standing for long periods of time or walking medium distances which would probably happen if you park your vehicle long before the doors open and enter without any cast member assistance.

I believe they tend to guests riding the elevators before the general public are let in.

I would suggest talking to a cast member at the entrance and explaining things to them. If no other replies regarding this are posted try asking in the "disABILITIES" section of the board:
