How early for Citricos to make Illuminations?

How early should I book Citricos in order to make it to World Showcase by 8:30? We're looking forward to our first visit to Citricos, and don't really know how long to expect the meal to take.

I don't want to eat TOO early, but realize that's somewhat unavoidable with this schedule. Changing things around so we don't do both on the same night isn't a good option (it's complicated).

We allow 2 hours for signature meals; they rarely take us less than that.

You're probably not going to want to do anything later than 5:30ish. Figure the 2 hours or so for the meal, plus 30-45 (or more) travel between GF and Epcot, and that puts you getting into Epcot only a few minutes before that 8:30 "get a spot" time. (And since you'll enter at FW you'd have to get all the way over to WS as well)

Any later and you'll be risking missing the show as there will be very little leeway.

Not really the answer I wanted to hear, but better to eat early and have a relaxed evening.
