Having read in another thread ;) about a bag being packed for weeks, I wondered how far ahead of your holiday do you pack your bags/cases :)

I start collecting things in a case about 4/5 weeks before. Buying odd bits and pieces that we will need new to take after that. Then its a mad rush at the end to fill all the bits i am missing the night before. i always overpack and have spare of everything. :confused3

I'm like Nikki in that I start getting things ready about a month before we go, but not in a case because then the dogs will know they are off on holiday again! ;)
I get all the clothes we are taking together about a week before we go and then pack them in our cases a couple of days before we go.
But there are five things that stay permanently packed in our cases - no not unwashed clothes - I meant our lovely Disney ponchos! :rotfl:

We pack the day before we go! But I do have lists so I know exactly what I need to put in the cases.

I start packing about a week before, I will start puting clothes in the case, i usally finishing packing the day that we are going!

I'm like Joanne, the day before- except I don't have a list! Just throw some clothes in the case with grooming products and camera charger and we're off! The documents will all be in my hand luggage with MP3 player and camera. This Christmas I finished packing just a few minutes before I left the house!

ah... y'see i PLAN to be organised... but generally end up packing before i go to bed the night before! lol... otherwise, if i do it earlier i end up taking stuff back out of my suitcase....

when i went to spain last year i'd been out for a few drinks the night before and was too drunk to pack..i had to set my alarm for 4am to get up and pack!

I've already started making lists- although i do get a little bit teased for being a 'list queen' princess: . I guess it's not that early though, and it's more complicated cos I've got to make sure I bring the right stuff home from Uni! Once home, the piles begin (usually with one of the cats on the top looking very sad :guilty: ) and finally into the case the night before.

Ahhh i just can't wait :Pinkbounc

I normally start thinking about what clothes I might need to buy a few months before so it spreads the cost out a bit (unless we are going away somewhere hot when it will be cold here - then I start earlier because it's hard to buy shorts and stuff in November in the UK!!!) :rotfl:

For our next trip to DLP, I will probably make a list in July time, and then start getting toiletries over the last 4 weeks before we go, again, to spread the cost.
Actual packing of the case is done the day before normally.

I'm a list queen too.
I haven't got as bad as writing a list of my lists yet though.
Actually, I am getting better but I used to have about 5 lists constantly, now I only really have a list to pack with, a list for Xmas pressies and cards, and I write a list of what Xmas/B-day pressies I would like, and that's about it nowdays!!

Only a few days before I go princess:. I do think about the stuff I want to take before that though.
princess:.

Hmm five's quite a lot at one time! I've always got a list for something, but it is usually just the one :rotfl:

I'm not surprised, you only have 5 days until you go!!!

Those little bananas get me every time! It's just how i feel. Could do with having a big sleep tonight (last exam tomorrow!) but i'm bouncing everywhere :jumping1: .

Let the magic of Disney begin.

I've had a 'Disney box' on the top of the wardrobe for months now and pop in the odd bit here and there. Clothes wise and actual packing of the ceremonial case takes place about 3 days before. I have to be careful in case my dear cat Bella decides to pack herself with the underwear though :rotfl2:

Thank you so much wideeyes. Everytime I take a break I come straight onto this forum. Although I have been on here a lot, mayb i'm taking too many breaks :rotfl:

Packing is one of the most exciting parts of going away (including that nagging feeling there's something you've forgotton). Start early, excited for longer :cheer2:

I have to admit that I start packing one day before or even on the Day when we are leaving. But I have the great pleasure to have a wonderful wife that knows everything we like to take with us, so everything is nead and clean and I just have to put it into the suitcase.

Only 8 days to go.

Have to say I admire those who only pack the day or minutes before they go.
I'd be petrified that I forgot something :earseek:
Our holiday to-do/packing list goes up on the living room door 3 months beforehand :goodvibes
