How early do you pack your suitcase?

I'm 27 days away from our trip and I kind of want to start now but that seems way too early....I'm worried packing early might increase wrinkliness of clothes....anyway how early does everyone here pack?

There are some things that are always packed. They get laundered at the end of a trip and go right back in the suitcase. I keep my suitcases in the guest room, and about a week out, I start folding items and laying them on the guest bed. Everything is packed by the day before so the suitcases can be loaded in the car. I keep one small bag for last minute items that goes in the car day of.

Most of the clothing I pack is not prone to heavy wrinkling. Usually hanging it in the bathroom while taking my shower gets rid of any small wrinkles.

It’s not too early to create a packing list, so you can make sure you don’t forget anything. I started doing that after the trip where I forgot to pack any socks, even though they were on the bed with the other items for the trip. Now I just check things off the list as I pack and then I know at a glance when I am finished.

My next cruise in in November. I have already started a little pile . . Part of the fun! You can take photos of outfits and put them in a file on your phone to remind you - rather than actually packing them.

One of the items already in the pile is a travel sized bottle of Downy Wrinkle Release spray.

I am also 27 days out! I am planning outfits and buying any clothes I need (unfortunately some of my vacation clothing is not fitting right now--how did that happen lol). I don't actually start packing until 2-3 days before we leave. If we had more room for an open suitcase to lie around I would probably start earlier. I also have an extensive packing list so I don't forget anything.

Have you used the wrinkle release spray before? Never even heard of it

Yes we have taken pictures to plan our dinner outfits basically to figure out what we need to buy

When we traveled with kids, I would leave the suitcase open in our bedroom about a month out and throw in items that would need to be more neatly organized later. Disney outfits they tended to wear at home would disappear into the suitcase after laundry. When they arrived they had all their fav Disney outfits. I had a cousin who always sent me hand-me-downs so all the Disney ones went into the suitcase. I do have a family picture with our youngest in a too large dress but she wanted to wear it. My fault for never really looking at it before packing.

For us, well, I'm always packed. After we return home and do laundry, shorts and tops that I only wear at WDW go back in the case. Then about a week out I tweak it depending on cruise wear or current promotions (mostly EPCOT festivals). DH packs the night or two before and he always forgets stuff = annoying.

Two days in advance. I generally get all my Disney stuff ironed and packed at this time. Shorts as well. Shirts that wrinkle while packed I just wait to do those on the ship.
My wife on the other hand starts about a week in advance. Getting home and unpacking. That’s a whole different ballgame. Mine are unpacked immediately. Takes my wife about a week or two to finally empty the suitcase fully. Drives me nuts

I have several vacation\cruise baskets that have everything from chargers to travel toiletries. I have another basket just for FE\Pixie Dust gifts and a basket for Disney Ears & Disneybound outfits. I pack a day before sailing and it is normally super fast due to my basket system.

I’m always “half packed” in advance no matter the type of trip. The toiletry bag is always replenished after a trip and then stored in the half empty suitcase. Certain items of clothing are vacation friendly and left in the luggage as well. I’m a roll in plastic packer so no concerns with wrinkles. Other items are generally packed a week or so before leaving. Hate taking too much and dislike not having what I want.

We pack the week before. I always keep a cruise bag in the closet with magnets, chargers, etc that we only use on a cruise.
