How early do they release AP discounts?

I'm not sure if there is a solid formula for when to look for AP room only discounts but I wanted to ask if anyone might know how early they usually release the RO discounts?

This is only the second time I've had an AP so it's not a lot of time to go by, but from what I can tell they are typically released after the public specials and it can be close to your desired dates sometimes. There was one trip I didn't see AP rates for until 6 or 7 weeks before we wanted to go.
