How early do i really need to get to Midway?

I think you will be fine, we always do the 2 hour arrival, but we usually end up waiting awhile, and grabbing breakfast or something. One reason because we are anxious to leave the house and secondly, I just would rather be earlier, just in case a delay in security, etc.

I agree that you should be fine. We also arrive 2 hours prior just because I'm paranoid we will get tied up getting to the airport or once we're there hit problems with long lines to get through security. Plus I like having time to sit and relax and just wait to board rather than worry about having to hurry up should we hit a delay.

What lot do you park in?

We use the Park, Ride, & Fly lot at Midway. I think I'd want to be pulling into the lot around 4:30, and going through security at the airport around 5. That will give you an hour or so to grab a bite to eat before boarding if you don't run into any delays. We always allow extra cushion time though because we live 2 hours south and never know what kind of traffic we're going to run into on the way.

That's a good idea because flights generally don't serve meals anymore and I don't know about anyone else, but if I hadn't eaten dinner before a 6:30 flight to Orlando, I'd be starving by the time the flight got there.

I always take the early morning flight out of midway and you should def get there 2 hours early, there were times I got right through security and had a long wait to board, but just as many times I've had a really long wait to get past security and barely had time to eat something
