Do I have to be there by 8 or can i go later....also did I read somewhere they serve breakfast as well?

You don't have to be there at 8 am, the earlier you check in, the earlier your dolphin swim will be!The later you check in, the later your swim will be! As far as breakie is concerned it is continental, muffins, fruit, yogurt, cereal, but there is plenty, and you can have as much as you want!

:thumbsup2 We were there in August. We got there at 8 and our dolphin swim time was around 9:30. If you are traveling in the hotter months (June-Sept) I would recommend getting there as early as possible in case there are the typical afternoon thunderstorms. Also, getting there early will maximize your time there. (We were there from 8:00 until 5:30 and didn't really want to leave!) I don't know if this is as much of a concern in the cooler weather.

Just went. We were told to be there at 8. We got there at 8:30 and received the swim time as 9:45. The swim areas do not open until 9. It does take a while though to get your swim gear, put your stuff in lockers and get breakfast. Breakfast wasn't that great. Coffee was so weak that we threw it out. There is really not much to do after you swim with your dolphin. You get 30 minutes in the water with a group of about 8. We left around 2 p.m.

We went this past Sunday (October 3). We got there at 8:20 and had a swim time of 1:35 pm. It would have been nice to have an earlier swim just so I wouldn't have to hear my daughter ask me a million times if it was time to go swim yet. It did give us plenty of time to see the rest of Discovery cove and get used to the water. We ate an early lunch (around 11:30) so our food would settle before our swim. It was also a bit cooler (for Florida) with no humidity so it was nice tohave the swim when it was a little warmer out. The water is pretty cold. We both used the shorty wetsuits and my daughter was freezing.
